Our Vision

At Muslim Family Lawyers, we envision a world where every Muslim family is empowered with legal solutions that honor their faith, protect their legacy, and secure their future. We are committed to redefining estate planning by integrating Islamic values and Sharia compliance with comprehensive legal strategies, ensuring that wealth, wisdom, and faith are preserved across generations.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, ethical, and accessible legal services that strengthen families and foster a legacy of love and community.

Our Story

I began my legal career at a small firm I started with friends and colleagues. Later, our firm was acquired by a larger practice. That experience taught me a great deal, but it also showed me the shortcomings of the traditional legal model.

Too often, clients came in with personal concerns about their families, faith, children, businesses, and futures—but the process felt transactional. In estate planning, especially, I saw clients leave with polished documents but without the clarity, support, or follow-through needed to make sure the plan would actually work when their family needed it most.

That reality became personal for me in 2022, when my father was diagnosed with a low-risk type of cancer. Before his operation, he looked at me and said, “If anything happens to me, remember to bury me in Najaf.”

I did not know what to say. I was his son, and I was an attorney, but I knew he did not have a complete estate plan in place. We had not had the kind of conversation a family should have before a moment like that.

And then another question weighed on me.

My father is a scholar and an author. Much of his work had not yet been published. If something happened to him, what would happen to that work? Would our family—and the community—lose his intellectual legacy?

That experience helped me see estate planning differently. A good plan should do more than transfer property. It should protect a family, reflect a person’s values, honor their faith, and preserve their legacy.

I started Muslim Family Lawyers to do things differently. Our mission is to provide value-centered planning for Muslim families—planning that is legally sound, personally meaningful, and rooted in the responsibilities we have to the people and principles we love most.
